The Morbark 40/36 Whole Tree Drum Chipper is a compact, cost-effective, and highly productive drum chipper developed specifically for the demanding needs of the biomass industry.

Combining powerful performance with efficient material handling, the machine processes whole trees, brushy tops, and limbs quickly and efficiently while maintaining low operating costs.

Equipped with the same proven internal drive system used on Morbark horizontal grinders, along with an extra-wide feed opening, the 40/36 aggressively feeds difficult material and rapidly fills chip vans to maximum legal load capacity. This efficient feeding performance helps maximise productivity across large-scale wood processing operations.

The advanced Morbark Advantage 3 Drum produces more consistent wood chips, while the heat-treated AR-450 steel drum skin delivers extended wear life, reduced replacement costs, and less downtime. A staggered knife configuration improves feed system efficiency while reducing the number of moving parts, simplifying maintenance and improving reliability.

With low fuel consumption per tonne produced, the 40/36 Whole Tree Drum Chipper provides excellent operational efficiency and cost savings. Measuring only 2.59m wide, the compact machine is easily transportable and can be moved without requiring transport permits, improving mobility and operational flexibility between job sites.
