MDS®, a global leader in specialist screening equipment, is delighted to celebrate the two-year anniversary of Lincom Group being appointed as their authorised distributor for Western Australia, Northern Territories, and South Australia.
Liam Óg Murray, Regional Sales Manager for MDS commented, “Australia is a key market for MDS due to its demanding mining and quarry applications, where our heavy-duty rock trommels and conveyors excel, but also in riprap applications, where demand is high across Australia’s coastal regions. Lincom’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the local industry have been critical in ensuring that MDS equipment is utilised to its fullest potential, meeting the specific needs of the Australian market, and driving success for our clients.”
The first MDS equipment to enter the Australian market with Lincom was the M515, the flagship model of the MDS range, and one that is ideal for creating RipRap and recovering rocks mixed with clay and other sticky materials. The updated model has been redesigned to include new features that will improve transportation, access, and stockpile heights.
Other popular models include the M412 and M413, which are perfect for screening everything from lightweight materials to recycling heavy demolition waste. These compact models are more suitable for Australian cities, where space is a premium and maximising production with a smaller unit is key. The recently launched M300, a heavy-duty scalping screen designed for demanding applications, should also prove popular for the same reason.
Looking ahead, MDS plans to work with Lincom to enter new regions, including Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia. A further avenue the brand is hoping to explore is the recycling market, particularly with the M518R, a compact recycling trommel with the ability to screen a variety of materials, including compost, green waste, biomass, and municipal waste.
“We are excited to celebrate this milestone and look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Lincom, bringing innovative and high-quality solutions to our customers in Australia and beyond,” added Liam Óg Murray.
